For this teacher photo feature, Sun Journal reporter Brooklyn Howie spent some time with Big Sky’s Jeff Boespflug.

Boespflug has been teaching at Big Sky for the past six years, and the last three years he has taught study skills and vocational classes.
Through his vocational classes, students create custom apparel and other items for Big Sky staff, clubs and more. On a recent day in his classroom, Boespflug showed off the patches he made with his laser engraver for a hat he’s making for some teachers here at Big Sky.

He also organized spangled graphics, which his classes are able to make in house, students to attach to shirts.

Through his classes, Boespflug demonstrates hands-on learning, teaching students real life skills that he says students can take to jobs outside of the classroom.
