On September 12th and 13th of 2025, Dave Blunts and Ye, a seemingly promising music duo, broke up due to some things being said and other allegations.
Why does this still need to be talked about? Ye’s album “BULLY” has been rescheduled many times, but is now rumored for December 12, 2025. “In A Perfect World” was originally titled “BULLY” in early leaks, with other names being discussed, but has had no further updates or leaks, suggesting Ye may have scrapped the album, despite the album cover and tracklist being leaked. But now that Ye’s main writer is gone, what will happen next? And why did he leave in the first place? Let’s get into it.
Dave Blunts and Ye, formerly Kanye West, started making music in February of 2025, according to an interview with Blunts by TalkinRap. In the interview, Blunts says that Ye met him through mutual people after hearing his music. They instantly connected, and started talking for hours, and Blunts ended up writing songs based off of their conversations. Some of the most notable songs that came from their conversations were “HH,” “WW3,” and “Cousins.”
At their prime, Blunts said in the interview that he and Ye were writing three songs a day based on their conversations, as said on VIBE.com. Blunts also wrote the entirety of the song “Cousins” according to the interview magazine. Blunts said he did all of the writing for Ye’s new album “In a Perfect World,” which never dropped, probably because of this situation also, but allegedly the tracklist features all of the famous singles noted above, and more that have not been released yet. The tracklist has been leaked online to have about 15 tracks, but nothing has been verified. There is also some name confusion, because “In a Perfect World” was also referred to by other potential names like “WW3.”” Blunt also helped write Ye’s album “Bully,” and some singles from this album have been released, and is set to release December 12th, 2025, as seen on Spotify.
On Soapcentral, it says that Blunts said “I don’t speak for other people… I love Ye, Ye is my brother and I support him,” which suggests that he wrote “Cousins” for him, and didn’t judge him, no matter what it was. For those who don’t know what “Cousins” is about, Ye admits to some explicit actions he did with his male cousin while he was a kid. Ye also said that this happened several times, until he was 14. This was said over social media. Ye said it affected him deeply and shaped his adult life. Ye also shared that the cousin is now in jail for murder, with a life sentence. It looks like publicly talking about his experiences is his way of coping, even if it shouldn’t be said publicly.
After Ye made his endless antisemitic tweets on X, Blunts started to distance himself from Ye, saying he also regretted his involvement with the creation of the “In a Perfect World” songs. On September 13, 2025, via iMessages, Blunts texted Ye that he can no longer work on the album and he was going on his own journey. Ye responded saying “Ok, thank you, what are the parts that didn’t align” and then Blunts responded to Ye that he was very lost, and that he needed to find God. Blunts later posted his exchange on his Instagram.
I am hoping Ye will change for the better, and find more collaborations, and leave behind his antisemitic behavior for good. On YouTube, a video surfaced of Ye apologizing to a Jewish Rabbi, blaming his bipolar condition, talked about by YealmStacie on YouTube. I was fine with Ye’s music most of the time, having most of the highlights of my favorite songs coming from “DONDA 2” and some songs from “Vultures” 1 & 2. I really liked Ye’s new style. But at the point where someone becomes a Nazi, you can do two things: either just accept that they are a bad person but that their music goes crazy, or two, probably stop supporting them because they are a bad-minded person. My opinion of Ye is definitely affected, but I will still buy his clothes and listen to his music. He has given his apologies and he is also diagnosed with bipolar, so he should not be taken as seriously in some matters. I also personally was a big Blunts fan. I like his style of music and I think that it is entertaining. His diss tracks are unique, and overall Blunts has a unique style of music.
Not even a week after their falling out, on September 17, Blunts released a diss track on Ye called “Tired of Being Groomed.” The track called Ye out for being antisemitic, engaging in incest, and saying that Ye groomed Blunts into making the songs. There is no actual proof of this happening; Blunts did not take this claim to court or anything like that, so there is nothing else to say about that. In the song, he also says to his listeners, “sorry I became a Nazi,” “No I don’t support Hitler,” “Hated Jews, that is not me,” and, “Hell no, I don’t support incest.”
This diss track is significant so his fans know that he isn’t antisemitic, and doesn’t support incest, as a sense of a goodbye, and also makes sure his fans know that he regrets what he said and did for the music, unlike Ye.
This is a significant change, because Ye was planning on dropping his album soon, but when his writer is gone, who knows what will happen. He has been very silent with no significant tweets, or rumors about new music, but has been dropping more lines of clothes on his new website, Yeezy.com. He will probably find another writer, because combined with his use of nitrous, he won’t be able to write very well. Dave Blunts is also allegedly dropping a Christmas album in December of this year; which will be exciting because there may be more disses, or information revealed, or maybe it will just be a lighthearted, fun Christmas album.
