For the second episode of Eagle Spotlight, a one-on-one interview series with Big Sky community members, host Kade Dunning spoke with Samuel Akem, leader of the Eagles’ Black Student Union club.
Akem talked with Dunning about his football career playing for the Griz and in the United Football League, as well as life after football. He said one of his main missions now is to give back.
“I want to be able to give back, I want to help some of the younger athletes work through their struggles,” Akem said. “Obviously I’ve accomplished some great things, but that pales in comparison to what I’m going to do down the road.”
