Hard Loss Against Hellgate

Branson Baker, Sports Writer

Tuesday’s game was another tough loss for the boys basketball team in their game against Hellgate.

The Eagles came within two points of Hellgate halfway through the second quarter, although they finished the game down by 34 points. It was a tough but expected loss considering Hellgate’s record of 4-0 and currently being ranked #1 in the state.

Today the Big Sky boys will play at home against Coeur d’Alene at 7:00. Coeur d’Alene lost their previous game by 11 points, making their record 3-2. With Big Sky’s 1-5 record they will need to improve on defense and playing against the post.

Effective teamwork would also be advantageous because they have several high quality players, including Brady Tabish on defense and Camdyn LaRance on offense. If the Eagles can come out strong offensiveley, they have a good chance against Couer d’Alene tonight.
