He’s very tall, but that might not be the first thing that you’ll notice. It might be his white bodysuit. You’ll recognize him by his pink tutu and pink fairy wings. He goes by the Entertainment Fairy, but his name is actually Dylan Austin.

The Entertainment Fairy is a character Austin created that is very humorous. Sometimes he performs before or during assemblies of other events.

Austin says that he decided to join drama because he is more of an entertainer then an athlete. “I played football, and football wasn’t really my thing. I’m more of a soft teddy bear, I’m more of an entertainer than I am a football player,” says Austin.

Drama is a class to get people out of their shells, instead of just being shy and living their lives hidden away in their shells. “I think I’ve become more outgoing because of it,” Austin says. It even got Austin to open up. In the play The Importance of Being Earnest, he had to dress up as an older woman for his part as Lady Bracknell.

When Austin was asked about his favorite part about drama, he replied, “Probably SD, she’s probably the best teacher here, in my opinion.”

Math teacher Mike Marcinkowski thinks that Austin is a creative and impressive person who is polite and very friendly to other students and teachers. “He was very polite, he did everything I asked, very friendly to other kids and very friendly to staff. I liked him.”

After he graduates high school, he plans on making YouTube videos and working. “Hopefully I’m going to try to work at Costco and make YouTube videos, and hope I get famous off of it,” Austin says.

Marcinkowski has seen Austin’s drama performances and has worked with Austin. Marcinkowski thinks that Austin’s future is open for him to do whatever he wants with it. “His future is wide open, whatever he wants it to be. He has no fear.”
