A serious incident at Big Sky caused commotion amongst students and staff during afternoon classes today following reports of gunshots in the student parking lot.

 

Staff were called to the main entrance between seventh and eighth periods to disperse a crowd of students and send them back to classrooms.

 

Students parked beyond the first six rows in the student lot will not be allowed to access their vehicles in any way until at least Saturday morning, according to an email from administrator Jennifer Courtney.

 

Reports come after staff members and the school resource officer conducted an investigation, when a student fled the building. According to reports from the administration, the incident was not related to any threats against students or staff.
